Selfless Soldier had Volunteered for Duty

As many of you know, one of our colleagues and friends at Teamstudio, Andrew Fentiman, was in the Territorial Army and was recently deployed to Afghanistan. It is with deep sadness that we have to announce that Andrew was killed during active service on Sunday November 15th 2009.

We were absolutely devastated to have lost Andrew. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Andrew was a remarkable young man who will be missed by all of us here at Teamstudio. He had a fantastic sense of humor and it was a pleasure to work with him.

We are grateful for the time that we got to share with Andrew.

1 - Absolutely disgusting this stinking GVT put soldiers into a corrupt war without the proper equipment.

I hope they die of a painful illness, for what they are doing, its nothing their kids or family going there afterall.

To anyone wanting to join the army, why you would sign up to this is beyond me.

I think many do it out of desperation and not having many other options.

And our GVT throw you to the slaughter like lambs.

2 - My condolences to RFN Fentiman's family and friends. It was slightly shocking to see a PlanetLotus link in a Guardian news article about the war in Afghanistan.

Another poppy to fall in the RAH next November...

3 - So sad. My thoughts are with you all.

4 - Hi James

You may want to remember that without the brave efforts of countrymen like Andrew there would be some places in the world in chaos and oppression. As a world leading power the UK have a responsability to help secure not just their own lands from terrorism like the London bombings but also to help those countries with opressionist and terrosist regimes. If you look at some of the royal family who are serving right now you will see that the leaders are comitted to serving the country just like their fellow comrades.
Serving queen and country is a proud and worthy job and our soldiers better the world with what they do and sacrifice. If that isn`t a good reason to work as a soldier then I don`t know what is.

5 - I heard about Andrew's death via a local television news report. I'm not sure if I met Andrew either at your offices or at Lotusphere but please accept my sincere condolences.

I am proud of our Armed Forces and proud that you as a company feel able to support their work. I'm only sorry that you and Andrew's family have had to bear such a tragedy.

Jason
